2012 Hyundai Veloster to "a 4-passenger Honda CRX,"

CEO Krafcik likens the 2012 Hyundai Veloster to "a 4-passenger Honda CRX," referencing the iconic, affordable Civic-based 2-seat coupes of the 1980s and '90s that helped ignite the urban "tuner-car" culture. "It'll be a little car you can take out and ring its neck and still get good mileage," he promises. If nothing else, the Veloster should complement the larger, rear-drive Genesis Coupes as a more-affordable youth-magnet Hyundai. Considering this automaker's recent track record, that could be a very good thing.
